by this afternoon. northwest winds behind the low and associated
front will pick up today. a gale warning and a heavy freezing
spray warning is in effect across the northern two thirds of the
lake for gales and frigid temperatures behind the cold front. only
a gale warning is in effect for the southern third of the open
waters due to warmer conditions. winds veer northerly tonight and
gradually weaken through saturday as high pressure builds across
the region. southerly winds return with milder temps as high
pressure pushes east for sunday.
