high pressure around 30.2 inches will continue to move southeast
of the region today. southwest winds will develop across the lake
as the high pushes east, continuing into early thursday morning. 

winds will quickly switch to the north thursday, following the 
passage of a strong canadian cold front. colder air moving over 
the lake will help drive gusty north winds, some of which may 
reach gale force. a gale watch is in effect for thursday afternoon
and evening. significant wave action is also expected during this
time.

high pressure around 30.4 inches will then move into the region
friday, then to the south on saturday. gusty north winds will
gradually shift to the west during this period.
