waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...an unseasonably strong 29.1 inch low will move across 
southern quebec through tonight. this low will then move slowly east 
to the canadian maritimes friday while filling to 29.4 inches, 
eventually moving east of newfoundland by saturday night. a weak 
ridge of high pressure averaging 29.9 inches will then build into 
the great lakes saturday night through sunday. a 29.6 inch low is 
then forecast to move over or just south of the lower great lakes 
monday, before moving off the new england coast by tuesday.

a trough averaging 29.60 inches lingers over the lake through 
friday before a high pressure ridge averaging 30.00 inches 
overspreads lake erie from the west on saturday through sunday. 
during sunday night through monday, a trough averaging 29.80 
inches should impact lake erie as the parent low wobbles east- 
northeastward from near the mid mississippi valley to near 
central new york and deepens to 29.60 inches. behind the low, a 
ridge averaging 30.00 inches should build from the north-central 
united states and vicinity monday night through this tuesday.
