waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.4 inch surface high centered over the lower ohio 
valley this late morning will ridge northward, across the lake 
tonight. the high will then shift east of the lake wednesday and 
reach the east coast by wednesday evening. a 30.2 inch high will 
move into the great lakes region thursday. a 29.8 inch low will move 
from james bay to the canadian maritimes friday. this may result in 
a cold front crossing the lake through friday.

a trough averaging 29.50 inches will linger over the area today 
before high pressure 30.40 inches pushes north across the great 
lakes region tonight. this high will drift east on wednesday, 
allowing for a warm front to lift north late wednesday. high 
pressure 30.10 inches will persist for the remainder of the week 
before a weak low pressure 29.80 inches moves east through the 
region this weekend.
