waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a large 30.4 inch high will strengthen to 30.6 inches as 
it anchors over atlantic canada today. a 30.0 inch low and attendant 
warm front will cross the lower great lakes this morning, before 
weakening and sliding eastward by tonight. a 30.1 inch high will 
settle across the region monday through tuesday. a cold front 
associated with a 29.8 inch low over new england will drop south 
across the lake on wednesday morning. high pressure over canada will 
start to expand south over the lake on thursday.
