waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.5 inch surface low over the mid-mississippi valley 
will track northeastward and deepen to 28.9 inches just to the west 
of the lake monday morning, before pushing northeastward across 
quebec through tuesday. this low will sweep a strong cold front 
across the lake monday afternoon, with a 30.4 inch high building 
across the great lakes and ohio valley tuesday. the high will then 
shift east of the lake wednesday and reach the east coast by 
wednesday evening. a 30.2 inch high will move into the great lakes 
region thursday.

low pressure will deepen to 28.90 inches by monday morning as it 
lifts into the northern great lakes. a strong cold front will
sweep across lake erie early monday morning. a trough averaging 
29.80 inches will persist across the lake through early tuesday 
before a ridge averaging 30.30 inches builds from the upper 
midwest late tuesday and tuesday night. the ridge will exit slowly
eastward from the lake erie region wednesday through thursday as 
another cold front crosses the lake.
