waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...
a 29.8 inch surface low over central ontario this afternoon with a 
warm front draped over the lake, will slide off the southern new 
england coastline wednesday as a 29.6 inch surface low. following 
the passage of this system, a 30.3 inch high will then build across 
the lake wednesday, sliding off the atlantic coastline thursday. a 
weak 29.8 inch surface low will slide across southern quebec 
thursday with its associated cold front dropping southward across 
the lake. following this front, a strong 30.5 inch surface high over 
ontario thursday will slide over the lake thursday night and then 
linger just to the east of the lake friday. a compact 29.6 inch 
surface low will slide well south of the lake across ohio and 
southern pennsylvania friday night into saturday. another 29.5 inch 
surface low will pass by to the northeast of the lake sunday.
