waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.0 inch low will track from lake superior to
western quebec today with its trailing cold front crossing the
lake in the process. a 30.2 inch high will build across the great
lakes region tonight and friday. a frontal boundary will develop 
south of the lake with a series of weak lows tracking along this 
boundary during the weekend. a weak 29.7 inch trough of low 
pressure will move across the great lakes on monday.
