waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.7 inch area of low pressure will move from
northwest ohio, deepen to 29.5 inches as it passes by the lake 
tonight, and eventually strengthen to 29.3 inches as it reaches 
southern ontario on saturday. this low will drag a sharp cold front
across the lake saturday morning. behind this cold front surface 
high pressure averaging 30.0 inches over the mississippi valley 
will slowly build towards the lake by tuesday.
