waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...weakening low pressure of 30.0 inches will drift
off the southern new england coast today. a 30.6 inch high will 
remain over the mid atlantic and northeast through the weekend. the 
surface high will drift off the coastline monday. a cold front 
associated with a 29.3 inch surface low well to the north near james 
bay will approach the lake tuesday night and wednesday. a 29.7 inch 
surface low will move north along the cold front and off the mid-
atlantic coast through thursday.

10 knots. areas of fog this morning. waves 2 feet or less. 
.tonight...east winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast. waves
2 feet or less. 
.monday...southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. waves 1 to 3 feet. 
.monday night...southeast winds 15 to 25 knots becoming south to
30 knots. waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet. 
.tuesday...southeast winds to 30 knots becoming southwest 15 to
25 knots. a chance of showers. waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to
2 feet or less. 
.wednesday...north winds 15 to 20 knots. a chance of rain
showers. waves 1 to 3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet. 
.thursday...north winds 15 to 20 knots becoming northeast 10 to
15 knots. a chance of rain showers during the day. waves 2 to
