waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 28.9 inch low near the west end of lake superior
today will move north to hudson bay tonight. another 29.2 inch low
over the ohio valley this evening will move north to georgian bay
sunday morning, then continue north across quebec sunday night. a
trailing cold front will cross the lake late sunday. a ridge of
high pressure averaging 30.1 inches will build into the ohio
valley and lower great lakes monday, then reach the eastern
seaboard tuesday through wednesday.
