waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.2 inch high over the lower great lakes this evening 
will settle south toward the mid atlantic region through the 
overnight. this high will then drift to the eastern seaboard 
tuesday, then east of the mid atlantic coast by wednesday. 
meanwhile, a 29.3 inch low over far northwest ontario province 
tuesday night will move to hudson bay by late wednesday, then to 
northern quebec by thursday while deepening to 29.0 inches. a 
trailing cold front will cross the lower great lakes wednesday 
night, followed by a 30.0 inch high building east across the eastern 
great lakes region thursday through friday, before sliding east into 
new england by saturday.
