waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.7 inch low across quebec will retrograde 
northwestward to james bay today. at the same time another 29.7 inch 
low will deepen to 29.2 inches as it tracks from the southeastern 
states to atlantic canada through sunday, while a 30.2 inch high 
ridges across the lower great lakes, then western new england. a 
29.1 inch low over western ontario province monday will then weaken 
to 29.3 inches as it moves to northern quebec through tuesday, with 
its trailing cold front slowly crossing the lake tuesday. the cold 
front will stall just east of the lake on wednesday into thursday 
with a couple waves of low pressure track north along the front near 
or just east of the lake.
