waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.4 inch high will build from the upper great 
lakes and ohio valley this morning to the atlantic coastline  
tuesday morning...before moving offshore later tuesday. meanwhile
a 29.3 inch low will cross northern ontario and hudson bay 
tuesday and sweep a cold front across the lake tuesday night. a 
30.3 inch high will then ridge across the lake on wednesday, 
before a 29.3 inch low tracks from the central great lakes to 
southern quebec and slowly weakens to 29.6 inches thursday through
friday. following the passage of this low...a weak 29.9 inch high
is forecast to build across the lower lakes friday.

slide eastward across the lower great lakes today. a tightening
pressure gradient between strong low pressure near hudson bay and
the departing high pressure system will lead to increasing
southerly flow across the local waters and gales across lake
huron late tonight and into tuesday ahead of another cold frontal
passage.
