waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...cyclonic flow from a 29.2 inch low over the canadian 
maritimes along with a 29.4 inch low that will track southeast 
across the great lakes through wednesday will keep a wintry like 
pattern in place. a 30.5 inch surface high will then expand across
the lake later thursday through friday. a 30.12 inch northern 
stream wave will track across the lake on saturday as a stronger 
sfc low tracks along the coast.

wednesday night...

.today...west winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest to
30 knots. snow showers likely this morning, then more widespread
snow during the midday and afternoon. waves 4 to 7 feet building 
to 6 to 9 feet. waves occasionally around 11 feet. 
.tonight...southwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming west. a chance
of snow showers early. waves 6 to 9 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 
feet. waves occasionally around 11 feet. 
.wednesday...west winds to 30 knots with frequent gale force
gusts. scattered flurries in the morning, then a chance of snow 
showers in the afternoon. waves building to 9 to 12 feet. waves 
occasionally around 15 feet. 
.wednesday night...northwest gales to 35 knots diminishing to
30 knots. a chance of snow showers. waves 9 to 13 feet subsiding
