waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a ridge of high pressure averaging 30.00 inches drifts
across the great lakes today. the next low pressure system tracks
across the southern great lakes on saturday. another high
pressure then moves across the area on sunday. an active period
follows for early next week with multiple low pressure systems
moving through the region along a stalled frontal boundary.
