waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a broad, weak 29.8 inch low will move from the mid 
atlantic to new england by friday. meanwhile, a 29.0 inch low over 
the upper midwest friday will weaken to 29.3 inches as it moves east 
over the upper great lakes by saturday morning, before entering into 
central quebec sunday. the lake will be on the southern periphery of 
a large 30.6 inch ridge centered over the hudson bay on monday.

a warm front moves northeast across lake erie tonight, followed by
a cold front friday morning. during friday night through saturday
night, an occluded low should move generally eastward across the 
northern great lakes to southern quebec. this low track will allow
a warm front to lift north across the area friday evening,
followed by a cold front sweeping eastward across lake erie on 
saturday. behind the cold front, a trough averaging 29.80 inches 
lingers over lake erie before a ridge averaging 30.00 inches 
builds from the west by this monday and tuesday.
