waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.5 inch low will exit across the canadian maritimes 
this evening as a 30.4 inch high builds into the central great 
lakes, then across the lake tonight before moving east of the lake 
sunday. meanwhile, a 29.5 inch surface low over the mid mississippi 
valley sunday morning will track northeastward and deepen to 28.9 
inches just to the west of the lake monday morning, before pushing 
northeastward across quebec through tuesday. this low will sweep a 
strong cold front across the lake monday afternoon, with a 30.4 inch 
high building across the great lakes and ohio valley tuesday. the 
high will then shift east of the lake wednesday and reach the east 
coast by wednesday evening.

.synopsis...
a high pressure ridge averaging 30.00 inches continues to exit 
eastward from the lake erie region. on sunday, warm front sweeps 
northward across lake erie before a strong cold front sweeps 
eastward across the lake sunday night through monday morning. 
simultaneously, a potent low should track northeastward from the 
mid missouri valley to northern lake huron and deepen to 28.90 
inches. during monday afternoon through monday night, a trough 
averaging 29.90 inches should linger over lake erie as the low 
moves north-northeastward toward northern quebec and deepens 
further to 28.60 inches. on tuesday through tuesday night, a ridge
averaging 30.30 inches should build from the upper midwest before
exiting slowly eastward from the lake erie region this wednesday 
through thursday. on the backside of the ridge, a warm front 
should sweep northward across lake erie on wednesday.
