waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a large 30.6 inch high centered over northern quebec
will nose to the south across the great lakes region through 
saturday, while a deep 29.1 inch low over the atlantic will move 
away from the southern new england coast this afternoon. a weak 
cold front will then cross the lake late saturday night and 
sunday. a 30.1 inch high over the upper great lakes on sunday will
move over the lake sunday night and monday.
