Sherman Marker 14 has been down for months. Now that the season is upon us, are there any plans to resurrect it? |

Hi csorens
No news since our last post on 2/7/24:We are aware this USCG nav aid was struck by a barge. We've been reaching out to the USCG for an estimate on the replacement of our host structure, no word yet to pass along besides the pole being replaced by a buoy. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, for obvious reasons we can not place a sensor on a buoy. So this sensor may be gone forever. The USCG uses our sensors for SAR and they are also used by maritime traffic. So everyone is hoping we can find an alternative. Any ideas about a different location or host would be appreciated.

Oh wow I missed that post, so thanks for the update, Mike! I didn't know the back story about that. It doesn't sound good unfortunately. I don't think there's a good alternate location there... |
