an elongated area of 29.7 inch low pressure extending over the upper 
mississippi river valley tonight will deepen to 29.6 inches over 
eastern lake superior saturday morning. the low deepens to 29.3 
inches over quebec saturday afternoon. a weak 29.8 inch ridge will 
move over the lake saturday evening associated with a 30.1 inch high 
over the southern plains as the low departs into labrador. this 
ridge is kicked east by a 29.0 inch low that transits northern 
ontario sunday, reaching northwest quebec sunday night into monday 
as a secondary 29.1 inch low trails behind near the northern shores 
of lake superior. the low exits the area monday afternoon before 
being replaced by a 30.3 inch high over northern ontario tuesday. 
the high slowly moves into quebec on wednesday as 29.6 low pressure 
moves across the southern great lakes basin. thursday morning, lake 
superior will be situated between 29.4 inch high pressure over new 
england and 30.3 inch high pressure broadly spanning the plains.
