Puffin, thanks.
The most disturbing visual of NY, probably anywhere is the mass grave burials.
My niece on Long Island is a nurse, as is my Grandaughter .

The island, Hart Island, has been a burial site for 40+ years. A "Potter's field". Mass burials are something new there I believe.

We're all grateful for your niece and granddaughter.

I may be on a downhill slide, hoping to come to grips with a new cancer treatment, that gains me a session or two later this year. Strangely I feel at peace, I’ve had a good go, a great career, 2 great pass times, windsurfing being , words can’t say.

Keep counting those positives. Every time I suspect a given WS season may be my last, numerous things help me accept it:

1. I've played long, hard, and very often at a long string of sports ... way more than most people would do in several lifetimes.

2. So far I've beaten, often by a huge amount, my doctors' dire predictions. Some of that is due to #1 above, and several specific and clear victories stem directly from knowing when to put my foot down and take a different path based on my own research and analysis.

3. A good friend and WSing buddy three years older than I suggested that I just fugheddabout all the energy-sapping treatments, sail my butt off while I can, and so what if that shortens my life. Valid point, and I've chosen middle ground, especially ranking all my meds by benefit and by side effects, then dropping one at a time those with the least benefit and/or worst side effects.

I doubt you have the "luxury" of a relatively slow cancer like all of mine have been (including even my very aggressive form of prostate cancer), but your attitude will carry you a long way.

I don't think most Americans like being told what to do by the government.

"Only" something like 67,000,000 voting adults plus almost that many more voting-age adults who didn't vote, as indicated by their popular votes, the most powerful poll we have.

I work in this field. We are still learning a lot. This disease is a perfect storm of hurt. Easily transmitted. Long incubation period. Long period of transmissability. High proportion asymptomatic. Its unproductive to compare it to anything else, the bodies piling up tell you its real. If we had done nothing, economy would be just as bad, pile would be 5X higher. No way no how can we let up until there is routine screening for health care workers and everybody else with a job with personal contact with the public.

Consistent with what I’ve been told. Thank you for your input.
This is probably not your area of expertise but
With Obama Care gone, mandatory insurance gone.
Family presents a 8 year old, with a broken arm, no insurance.
Admittance form stipulates, a person whose responsible fir the bill?

Would the heath care facility deny treatment based on no insurance ?
8 yo could very well be a homeless person ?

Today sees stay at home protests in several US locations.
What I think should happen to them, is simple, gather them up, deposit them, with food and water on one of the cruise ships, not allowed to dock, if those still exist.
If not the History channel is always looking for extras for Swamp People.
