Hi fellow addicts,
Got my hands on a set of tri fins. Since my board accepts both single and twins, I thought I would try as a tri even though it's not intended for that use. It worked! Got me excited a little since it's helped maintain drive, directional abilities in chaotic environment. It's a bit less loose but really close.
Anyway, the setup needs to stay with the board (not mine), does anyone have a 17 US by chance? Not easy to find used ones online. Other option would be to resize a bigger one.
Thanks all!
EDIT: I guess one option would be K4 from Chinook $41 for a 17cm US. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

I use K4s in that size for a tri and can totally recommend the Scorcher. |

When I owned my Starboard Quad, I liked it best in Tri-fin mode for Gorge Sailing.

Thanks all, shipping would be to Florida, much easier!
U2, it looks like the 19 is a freewave design, maybe it'd work with 8's instead of 11's up front? I do have 8's. The other two would be too small I believe. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

The 19cm is Flikka, was for my FSW.
Florida , padded envelope $8.50
Since I don’t know any details on the board , I hesitate to recommend fin size.
$35.00 delivered.
I do have a new set of K4, Ezzy profile, 1 degree of toe, asymmetrical.
New. Additional $22.00 _________________ K4 fins

Had to return the single and switched to two 17s, I don't know but it felt quite similar? So between 17+12s, a single 23 or 2 x 17s I could hardly tell the difference?? _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

I make and shape fins all the time, use a grinder, then sander, you can make any size shape you want from old US std A fins. I have 20+ std A , acquired.free over 5 yrs.
I wont pay for a slot box.freestyle fin to go with my 2 donated FS bds, so ive made quite a few from old US std A fins. Seems to work fine for beg. Freestyling. |
