OK, I admit, this topic is not exactly windsurfing related, well except for this is what I want to do when the wind is not blowing. I am looking for some comments, opinions on what is a good board for SUP surfing. Waves up to maybe shoulder high. On Maui, if that makes any difference. Stable enough to not constantly be doing the hula, so probably wide and floaty. Thanks...

Any of the rental shops will not only be able to size you up (for skills, weight etc) but they'll know the conditions that you'll be getting while you're there, so can really dial you in.
If you're going to buy a board, definitely get one with an insert for a windsurfing mast foot. SUP wavesailing is a blast. Who'd think you could wavesail in 10 mph winds? I would rent before I buy, not only to get a sense of what you like and how you are on the water (happily SUPsurfing is learned faster than windsurfing) but also to determine your optimum paddle length. There are guidelines, but before you buy a carbon paddle and have it hacksawed to your exact size, figure out your preferences. Or buy an adjustable.
Me I'm a fairly doofus wavesailor, never surfed, but love paddle surfing in East Coast waves. 165 lbs, I learned on the Naish Nalu 11'4, and with a little practice semi-graduated to a Fanatic AllWave 9'4" (150ish liters) seen here with a sail on it:

Definitely try the Tropical Blends "Nui Loa" 11'9". I recently bought one, and it's amazing! Excellent for smaller waves OR just cruising around touring, super stable and great for both beginners and advanced paddlers. It has great "glide" meaning that with just some casual paddling you'll glide right along, makes it easy to catch small waves. Tropical Blends is also one of the strongest and best-made boards in the world, and their graphics are pretty killer as well. Should be easy to find on Maui.

I'm also a fan of the fanatic all wave.
And definitely get a board with the mast foot insert.
When its too windy for sup surfing but not enough wind for your short board, wave sailing on your sup can be a blast with a 5m sail in non-planing conditions.
