I was wonder why rotation was so poor on my 8.6 NX. I inspected the cam rollers and 3 of the 4 cams have one if not both rollers seized. Any tips for loosening them and getting rid of any corrosion on the pins?

This pins were corroding. I pulled the pins and sanded them using a drill and sandpaper. I'm soaking the pins now in boiling vinegar and they're bubbling nicely. Hopefully this will get me through the season or until I can get my hands on new pins. I will try WD-40 moving forward. These pins seems to corrode easier than they should. Wonder if they are even stainless.

If the pins still don't free fully, McLube the mast where the cams rotate, each time you rig that sail.

just email Bruce or Jim at Sailworks.
I had corroded cams on a sail. If you can extract the pins without damaging the cams, then you can just replace the rollers. Otherwise you can buy new cams which like $15 a piece as I recall.
