TOW to drive time ratio is a big factor. The goal, at least 2:1
Having my vehicle become a 2 seater in stead of a one seater, nice as well.

Still think I'd like my set up for next season to be
101Fsw
115FSW
Foil for the old rocket(for now)

Still love the standard WSing

For those of us who don't live in a wind Mecca such as the Gorge foiling is absolutely the future. In my case it cuts down on both the number of boards and especially sails I need to cover all of the usable conditions I have available.

It's a mecca only in the number of high-wind days. New Mexico had stronger winds, some seasons as many. We just had to drive more to access them. But by FAR most Gorge days are light wind days ... well under 20 mph. I've got to guess, based on 35 years of sailing in the Gorge much of the year, that foiling is presently the key to maximizing TOW (unless one counts PWC.)

Whether that maximizes one's FUN and "defines his future" is a personal choice.
