I just got a 2020 fanatic blast 115 for my big WS board. Its short and not overly wide. Its has a foil ready box. Rode it once in very lite winds just to see if floats and it got going pretty quick. Plenty of float. I won't foil it because I don't have the correct foil. I think it would work nicely on foil. RRd makes some nice crossover boards. My buddy got his sea legs foiling on one. |

I'd keep them both and just put a foil under the Rocket, likely the 7.5 will be your biggest sail then a ~5.5 for foiling. Since you can uphaul the 101 with a fin it would be even easier with a foil and both presumably have powerboxes that's another option for even windier days if you happen to try foiling with a <4m which is interesting in its own way. |

In my previous searches online I had not seen evidence of people putting a foil on a Rocket.
But i like it! Makes it the right price for a starter. |

If your Rocket is well used or you don't really care if it breaks then give it a shot. Get a foil like the Glide that has a flange to spread the load. Some have tried power box with no issues, other broke the board. I think the Rocket is a really good free ride board. Selling it and investing a foil board MIGHT be a better option.... Windance board shop Has the 2018 Sling Shot Dialer on sale for $749. They are great for learning. Several here are still using that board.
The only issue is that the boards were over built and are pretty heavy. Makes no difference on the water but a bit more difficult to carry and get in and out. That said I at 69 years old foiled mine for 2 seasons and figured it all out... |

There's a guy, Bert, on SW US, who has foiled 80+ days on powerbox RRD Freemove board. |

Personally, I don't think the NP flange is big enough.
Add your own alu flange that is 4" wider and longer. |

Future thing Lol!Yep!
No point in fussing over imperfect purchases, make the most of them.
Would be cool to back in time and tell my self which gear wont use get much.
Next best thing, ask a wise old fart.
Even the ones who just think they are. |

For those of us who don't live in a wind Mecca such as the Gorge foiling is absolutely the future. In my case it cuts down on both the number of boards and especially sails I need to cover all of the usable conditions I have available. |
