Didn't think about land application, makes sense there for sure!

Ok, well I figure I'm going to occasionally silicon lube it and see how it goes. My take is that the lube probably wears out quickly anyway so it may be a waste?

I just notice sometimes it can bind and may "un-torque" the top nut. I do every now and then re-tighten that nut. Not sure whether it's the lack of red-loctite or wear and tear on parts but I do it when inspecting my tendon and base parts.

Alright, after some more experience, it does seem that the lube wears off fast
Also, on a tight base it's hard to reach in-between parts as it dries out before it has a chance to run down inside sliding parts... I'd call it a fail unfortunately. Unless someone has a better lube.

BTW, just spent 3 weeks in NW Puerto Rico.
About 5 days of wind, but came up to 30 every day by Friday.
Feel any earthquakes?
A few last weekend and power is was 20% until we left on Thur.
