I am considering buying a new 100 liter X-Cite Ride but can't decide between the 2008 and 2009 shapes. I am looking for the following characteristics in descending order of importance:

-- early planing
-- easy jibing
-- good top speed
-- soft ride in chop
-- good control in overpowered conditions

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of the two models that could help me decide?

"09 has a little more performance oriented ride/jibe, but I didn't feel a significant enough difference. Unless you really want the 'latest and greatest', between the 08 and 09 I'd go with whichever I can get the best deal on. I think you'll be really stoked with it."
